Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen 1879 has congratulated Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi for reaching a century of appearances for the team.

25 year old Ati-Zigi reached the historic mark in St. Gallen’s last league outing where the side recorded a 1-1 result against Servette Football Club.

Ati-Zigi has missed two league games this season due to a red card suspension but has featured in 11 games this season conceding 17 goals and keeping two clean sheets in the process.

“Congrats on that stamp, Lawrence! We look forward to many more” the club wrote on its Twitter page to celebrate Ati-Zigi’s achievement.

After featuring for Red Bull Salzburg and FC Liefering in his professional career, Ati-Zigi has found a home with St. Gallen and has completed a century of games conceding 158 goals and keeping 23 clean sheets.

Ati-Zigi has been in and out of Ghana’s Black Stars in recent years after graduating from the West African nation’s Under 20 team, the Black Satellites.

St. Gallen ranks fourth in the Swiss Super League with 18 points and plays Winterthur on Sunday, October 30 at 15:30 GMT.
