Akyem Kotoku Royals Rush Football Club lost heavily in its first game under caretaker head coach Akakpo Patron.

Kotoku Royals lost 0-3 to Legon Cities at the Cape Coast Stadium as action in the betPawa Ghana Premier League resumed after a month’s break due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Under Ablade, Kotoku won just a game and drew another while losing six games in the league. Patron was promoted from his assistant role to be the interim head coach.

Jonah Attuquaye scored Legon Cities first in the 28th minute and former Accra Hearts of Oak forward scored Legon Cities’ second by converting from the penalty spot.
