Black Stars midfielder Abdul Salis Samed has described RC Lens 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain as the “best way to start” 2023.
He said this via his official Twitter page after playing a key role in Lens’ 12th win in 17 French Ligue 1 games this season.
The win closes the gap between second ranked Lens and top ranked PSG to four points; Lens has amassed 40 points while defending league champions PSG have 44 points.
Samed played out the entire duration of the headline contest and had a passing accuracy of 92% against 60 touches while winning five of 13 ground duels.
The 22 year old picked up a yellow card in the 41st minute in a game that had Lois Openda score a goal and assist Alexis Claude-Maurice’s goal.
Samed has featured in both Lens games after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where Salis competed in all three group phase games for Ghana’s Black Stars.
