Ghanaian forward Kwabena Owusu has sealed a move from Azerbaijan side FK Qarabag to Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

Owusu joins Ferencvaros after delivering a string of strong performances for Qarabag in the UEFA Europa League.

The two year deal is expected to end in January 2025 and the deal is reportedly worth 300,000 Euros who has experience playing in Spain’s Segunda Division and Turkey.

The 25 year old has three goals and an assist in six games in Europe’s second tier tournament after scoring two goals in eight UEFA Champions League qualification games.

Overall, Owusu has scored 10 goals and registered four assists in 34 games in all competitions in the 2022/2023 season.

Ferencvaros leads the 12 team league standings with nine points on the back of winning 12 and drawing two in 16 games this season.

The team is scheduled to play seventh ranked Paksi FC on Wednesday, February 2 and Owusu is in line to make his Ferencvaros debut.

Owusu was in the running to be named among the Black Stars 55 man provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
