Isaac Coffie reaches century mark of appearances for Sivasspor

February 2, 2023
Reading Time: 1 min read

Ghanaian midfielder Issac Coffie played his 100th game for Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig as they defeated Alanyaspor 3-0 away from home. The club celebrated the player’s milestone with a post to highlight Cofie’s achievement.

Cofie lasted the entire duration in the win operating as the sole defensive midfielder in a 4-1-4-1 formation; Sivasspor got a goal from Ivory Coast winger Max Gradel and a brace from Mustapha Yatabare.

The experienced midfielder who has had spells in Italy and Spain joined the Turkish team in 2019. His good performances earned him a two-year contract extension in 2021 that expires at the end of this season.

The highlight of his Sivasspor career came in the 2021/22 season when his team was victorious in the Turkish Cup. Coffie has one appearance for the Black Stars.

In the 2022-2023 season, Cofie has played eight games in all competitions scoring once in a 1-2 loss to Adana Demirspor on January 28.

Sivasspor ranks 14th in the 19 team league standings with 21 points from 21 games and the team is scheduled to play against Besiktas on Saturday, February 4.
