Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Board Member Frank Nelson Nwokolo has stated the team’s players returning from the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will affect Hearts positively moving forward.

He said this in an exclusive interview with CITI Sports on the back of Ghana’s Black Galaxies elimination from the ongoing CHAN in Algeria. Ghana lost 0-2 to Niger in the quarterfinals to crash out of the tournament.

Hearts of Oak has had to compete in the betPawa Ghana Premier League without Gladson Awako, Konadu Yiadom, Dennis Nkrumah-Korsah and Suraj Seidu due to the quartet’s run with the Black Galaxies.

The Accra based club ranks third in the league and Frank Nelso believes the returning contingent will boost the team’s chances of winning the league.

“Very positive for us. It’s something that the technical committee will be looking forward to because the players will be rejoining their colleagues. First of all I have to congratulate those who were holding the fort…but having said that, I believe that the players rejoining the team will make a lot of difference” he said.
