Barcelona legend Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira has announced that his 17-year old son Joao de Assis Moreira will sign for his former club FC Barcelona.
Joao de Assis de Moreira who is commonly known as Joao Mendes was born on the 25th Februray 2005 and plays as a striker, different from his father who played as a winger or midfielder.
Joao Mendes will sign for the Spanish giants after being on trial at the club since January.
Ronaldinho in an interview with RAC1 confirmed that his son is indeed heading to the Catalan club.
“I can confirm Barcelona will sign Joao, Barca has always been part of my life and my heart and it will continue with my son”
The Brazilian youngster will become the Blaugrana’s most recent addition to the famed La Masia academy that produced the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and current manager Xavi Hernandez
