President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association Mawuko Afadzinu is confident that team Ghana will earn more medals at this year’s West African Table Tennis Championship.

Ghana will host this year’s edition of the West African Table Tennis Championship and will be looking to improve her performance from the last championship which earned her a silver and a bronze medal.

Speaking at the launch of the championship at the Labadi Beach Hotel President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association Mr. Afadzinu expressed his belief in team Ghana heading into the championship.

“We’re confident that we should be able to double or possibly quadruple our performance compared to Nigeria last year where we got one silver and bronze” he said

“The other beautiful thing about our team is the blend of generations. So we have very young players coming through we have experienced players also coming back”

“So that fusion of experience and youth we believe should play out very well” he added

The West African Regional Table Tennis Championship begins Monday the 24th of April to the 27th at the Trust sports emporium in Accra.
