Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Board Member, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, is happy to see former Hearts players involved in social sports initiatives.

He said this in an interview on the sidelines of a press soiree for the BAC Group-organized All-Star Festival scheduled to come off on June 22 in Sunyani.

The upcoming event is set to be highlighted by a game between foreign-based Ghanaian players and players who hail from Ghana’s former Brong Ahafo Region.

Former Hearts players Emmanuel Nettey and Bernard Dong Bortey were present at the soiree and their involvement in the initiative makes Nwokolo proud.

“It’s a joy because if you realise that the club you are managing has produced legends. People who can be recognized and who can be called up to represent in a situation like this. It’s a round of applause for Hearts of Oak.”

Black Stars players Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Lawrence Ati Zigi will represent the select foreign-based players in the All-Star Game while players who are natives of Brong Ahafo include Kamaldeen Sulemana and Felix Afena-Gyan.
