Tariq Lamptey Foundation donates to kids at Asamankese

The Tariq Lamptey foundation, which is run by Brighton and Hove Albion and Black Star Tariq Lamptey, donated items including, jerseys and football boots to kids in Asamankese in the West Akim Municipal District, in the Eastern Region. The donations were preceded by a football game between Nana Kodi

e Fc and Young Kotoko in which young Kotoko won by a slender 1-0 margin.

The game was witnessed by Tariq Lamptey, members of his foundation, Managing Director for Multi Choice Ghana Alex Okyere and the Chief and elders of Asamankese.

Speaking at the event Tariq Lamptey expressed his delight at the level of football he saw and was grateful for the opportunity to make such an impact

“The standard of play was very very good so well done to all the boys

And thank you for having me and there is some great talent on show” he said

“I thank God for the position that I am in and I feel like it’s important to help the kids because everybody deserves a chance and I think as you can see today there was some fantastic talent on show” he added

 

Tariq Lamptey was part of Ghana’s 26 man squad that participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in which the Black Stars exited at the group stage.
