2023 All Stars Festival: Avram Grant delighted with warm welcome

Former Black Stars Coach, Avram Grant, has thanked Ghanaians for the warm reception, since his arrival in the country on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

The Israeli, who is now Head Coach of the Zambian National Team is in Ghana to lead the technical team of the foreign-based players during the 2023 All-Star Festival in Brong Ahafo, this June.

During a cocktail dinner held at the luxurious Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani, the former Chelsea Coach had the honour of addressing the All-star Team led by National Team Skipper Andre Ayew.

Expressing his gratitude, the 68-year-old commended the Business African Consulting (The BAC) Group, who are the event organizers, for extending a kind invitation and ensuring he felt warmly received by Ghanaians.

“It feels great to be back in Ghana and I feel so much at home”, he said.

Mr. Ranford Antwi, the Chairman of the Local organizing committee thanked the Skipper of the Black Stars, Andre Ayew, for becoming the first National Team Captain to lead his boys to feature in a game of football in the Brong Ahafo Region and urged the people to troop to the Dormaa NAM 1 Park, on Thursday afternoon, June 22, at 3 pm to have enjoyed the football extravaganza.

Former Black Stars players and other legends like Dan Owusu, Ntow Gyan, Awudu Issaka, Mr. Augustine Asante, Isaac Oppong, among others were at the occasion.
