The 2023 edition of the Baby Jet U-16 African Football Tournament has commenced at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The year’s tournament will see thirty-two (32) football academies from Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Benin, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso will battle for supremacy and a chance to get scouted for top European clubs.

Apart from fighting for honours and attracting scouts, Asamoah Gyan and other football legends will mentor the young athletes competing in the competition.

Speaking to Citi Sports in an exclusive interview, Samuel Anim Addo, the brain behind the tournament says he expects the various players to give their best in order to get selected.

I am very excited about the commencement of the tournament, the tournament is huge, but we know what we are doing, and we are going to transform lives and impact the next generation.

The joy on the faces of these kids will marvel you, and we hope all goes well. The scouting process has started, and we hope to give these young children an opportunity of a lifetime where everyone will benefit.

The tournament will end on June 13th, 2023.
