The Ghanaian international leaves the Moldovan giants having played 42 games and providing one assist for the club.
After completing the move, the head of the sports department of FC Baník Ostrava, Luděk Mikloško said they believe his addition will improve the quality of the team ahead of the new season.
“We had been eyeing him since the winter and already during the winter break we were considering his arrival, but at that time we didn’t want to reach out to the team.
We continued to monitor him throughout the spring.
Now the negotiations were partially accelerated by health problems on our left side, but that was not the only reason.
He is still a relatively young player who played tough matches in the Europa League last season, for example against Manchester United, and we believe that he will be another improvement in the quality of the squad for us,” said the head of the sports department of FC Baník Ostrava, Luděk Mikloško.
Kpozo impressed greatly for FC Sheriff where he was a regular starter and was a key part of the team that played in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League in the same season.
Thanks to impressive displays for FC Sheriff, he earned a call-up to the Black Stars in March when Ghana played Angola in the AFCON qualifiers.
Kpozo, 25, finally made his debut for Ghana against Madagascar in Antananarivo when they were held to a goalless draw in the AFCON qualiifiers.
