Football lovers on social media have expressed shock after Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana was not named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season.
The team of the season selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel had seven players from Pep Guardiola’s team that won their first-ever UCL trophy.
The team also features Inter Milan defenders, Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco but there was no room for Onana.
With eight clean sheets and an appearance in the final, he was fancied to be picked ahead of Thibaut Courtois but UEFA’s Technical Observer panel stuck with the Belgian giant.
This did not go down well with fans who are questioning UEFA.
