Speaking to tabloid GFFN, Lens General Director Arnaud Pouille said,
“We begin this summer transfer window with the extension of a key player in our team, both in terms of performance and spirit: Salis Abdul Samed. Beyond his emergence at the highest level, beyond his impressive performance at the World Cup with Ghana, beyond his consistency, he embodies the joy of this group and is one of the leaders in terms of commitment and festive character.
Extending Salis’s contract was a no-brainer. It is a symbol that illustrates our approach of starting with continuity. Congratulations, Salis, and we look forward to seeing you compete in continental competitions!”
Samed is expected to feature in the Black Stars’ 2023 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar on June 18.
