Head coach of the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko is expected to name his final squad today, June 22, ahead of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morocco.

A 27-man squad has already landed in the host country.

Citi Sports checks indicate the National U23 team will be trimmed down to satisfy CAF requirements.

In early June, Ibrahim Tanko, handed call-ups to Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer and Kamaldeen Sulemana to help Ghana in the quest to secure an Olympic Games slot in Paris next year.

However, the Black Stars duo have officially withdrawn from the team leaving just 27 players for Tanko to select from.

The final team is expected to feature FC Nordsjaelland forward, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Emmanuel Yeboah of CFR Cluj.

Ghana, before landing in Rabat on Wednesday, June 21, were in Cairo and Alexandria where they played Egypt and Zamalek SC in test games.
