After a disappointing campaign in the 2022-2023 season, Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has shaken up its technical department with a raft of appointments.
However, a head coach wasn’t named in the list of appointees to the remade technical team; interim head coach David Ocloo was let go following the conclusion of the immediate past league season.
The Phobia club’s list of appointments is headlined by former Black Queens head coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo as head coach of Oaks FC (Hearts’ Female Team).

1991 FIFA Under 17 World Cup winner Sebastian Barnes has been appointed as the Head of Scouting for the club he played for before featuring for the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz 05.
Former Dutch footballer Rene Hiddink will serve as the club’s Technical Director while Carlos Klu and Jerry Adjei Asare have been named as Welfare Officer and Goalkeeper Coach respectively.
A statement from the club read, “These changes are to ensure good technical direction, and most importantly…will position the club to achieve more successes in the 2023-2024 campaign and beyond.”
Hearts finished 12th in the immediate past BetPawa Ghana Premier League campaign prompting Board Member Frank Nelson Nwokolo to apologize to the club’s supporters. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
