Ghana Women’s Premier League & FA Cup Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, have begun preparations for this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Qualifiers and lessons learnt from the team’s maiden but brief run in the competition will serve as the team’s preparations well according to head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa.

The team has been paired in Group B with AS Garde Nationale from Niger and Amis du Monde of Togo.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be looking to book its place in the main draw after missing out on a spot last season.

Speaking to Citi Sports,  Ampem Darkoa head coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa, touched on the team’s preparations for the qualifiers.

“I know all the teams because of last year’s tournament apart from the new team coming from Nigeria I know all of them. We have learnt a lot from what happened last year.”

“we are at Techiman and we are preparing very well towards the tournament. In about a week’s time, we will move to Prampram and continue our training. So we are doing everything so that when we get there everything will go well” he said in addition.
