Hasaacas Ladies Football Club CEO, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, says Ampem Darkoa FC needs to be committed and united to perform well in this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League.
She said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports as the club prepares to compete in the WAFU Zone B against Niger’s AS Garde Nationale and Togo’s Amis du Monde for a place in the main competition.
The veteran administrator also called on corporate bodies in the country to help fund Ampem Darkoa’s second attempt to qualify to the main competition after crashing out at the zonal stage last year.
“It’s a product from Ghana. I am just urging all the corporate institutions to help them; they need money…if you want to go to Africa and do well they need money. I know the GFA will give them something, I know the Ministry (Sports) will give them something but I am urging the other corporate institutions to be able to help them. They (Ampem Darkoa) need togetherness and …they need commitment”.
Ampem Darkoa won the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title for the second time in a row to qualify to the zonal championship.
