Olympique Lyon head coach Laurent Blanc has all but confirmed Ghanaian forward Ernest Nuamah’s transfer to the French side.
The 19 year old was spotted recently in France reportedly to sign a multiyear deal that has turned out to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy for 23 million euros.
Speaking in the press conference after Lyon’s goalless draw with OGC Nice on Sunday, August 27, Blanc confirmed Nuamah’s presence in France and talked about the biggest quality Nuamah will add to his side.
“He’s already in Lyon. I think next week he’ll officially be a Lyon player. He is a player that will bring what he’s capable of bringing. He is a player with a lot of power. He is a young player, a very young player, but he also brings us a bit of competition. Bringing competition in every position is a good thing for everyone. The more competition, the better things will be,” he said according to Get French Football.
Nuamah has four goals and an assist in six games in all competitions this season for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
