Newly appointed head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has laid out his vision for the club.
He said this at his official unveiling on Monday August 7 in Kumasi after being appointed as Kotoko head coach for the second time following his successful time in his first run out with the team that culminated in a league title win in the 2021-2022 season.
Dr. Ogum’s appointment headlined a series of appointments to a newly-former Interim Management Committee (IMC) that included former Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah as Technical Director
“You can’t coach Kumasi Asante Kotoko and not be thinking of winning trophies. However, the first year is going to be used to put the team together a very formidable team, a very respectable team that can compete on the local and international front.”
Kotoko completed the 2022-2023 BetPawa Ghana Premier League season in fourth place after enduring a rocky campaign that saw the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo midway through the season.
