Crystal Palace Football Club manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed Jordan Ayew’s availability for selection in Palace’s upcoming English Premier League matchup.
He confirmed this in a press conference ahead of Palace’s league tie against Fulham on Saturday, September 27 at 14:00 GMT.
Ghanaian forward Ayew, picked up an injury in the team’s 1-3 loss to Aston Villa and had to be forced off in the 25th minute.
Palace assistant manager Paddy McCarthy stated Jordan Ayew suffered a dead leg but added further test would be needed to confirm the extent of the injury.
Ahead of the game, Hodgson confirmed Ayew has recovered from the injury and is available to play against Fulham. Defender Marc Guehi is also available for selection but Michael Olise and Mathues Franca are out for “longer terms”.
“[Jordan] is fine – he took a nasty blow, it gave him a dead leg but he trained fine, yes but we have also recovered Marc Guéhi as well, who picked up an injury playing for England. That has recovered well.”
Ayew has three assists in six games this season.
