Arsenal joy headlines Citi FM Premier League Roadshow at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill

Citi FM’s first official Roadshow of the Premier League season was always going to be a special one.

First off, the station’s Roadshows are usually huge events, and Sunday’s was no different as fans of the Premier League turned up in their numbers.

The venue was also a huge draw; the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill is definitely a major hangout point for residents in Accra.

Paired with Citi FM’s Premier League Roadshow, it immediately became the place to be on October 8.

The cherry on top was the schedule; the two live games that headlined the roadshow were Brighton vs Liverpool and Arsenal vs Man City.

Neither game disappointed with lots of drama in both.

Liverpool’s game against Brighton was a goal-filled one, eventually ending in a 2-2 draw, but it could honestly have ended 4-4 with a couple of missed opportunities for either side.

The fans were entertained right from the start of the match to the end, with the rare ponderous moments constantly punctuated by cheers and jeers.

Anticipation then built for the second game, arguably the most high-profile game of the season so far.

The stakes were high, Man City were keen to return to the top of the table while Arsenal were seeking their first Premier League win over City with Arteta in charge.

Man City’s fans at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill were as confident as ever while Arsenal supporters were cautiously optimistic.

While not as high octane as the game that preceded it, the tactical battle that unfolded had everyone at the Roadshow intrigued.

The tension grew as the game wore on and burst out in screams of joy from Arsenal fans and groans of dismay from the Man City end as Martinelli’s deflected effort found the back of Ederson’s net.

Thus ended another successful Premier League Roadshow, yet another one that will certainly live long in the memory.
