Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo scored his second goal of the season in AFC Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Burnley.

The win gives Bournemouth’s its first win of the 2023-2024 English Premier League season and eases the pressure on under fire manager Andoni Iraola.

Semenyo scored in the 22nd minute to level the game after Bournemouth conceded a Charlie Taylor goal in the 11th minute.

The 23 year old forward won the ball inside Burnley’s half and drove to the penalty box before slotting the ball into the bottom right side of the post with his left foot.

Midfielder Philip Billing scored in the 76th minute to give Bournemouth the lead and the Cherries held on to record its first win of the league season.

Semenyo scored his first league goal of the season in a 3-1 loss against Liverpool in August and made a huge impression on his return to the starting unit with the goal against fellow strugglers Burnley.

Bournemouth now has a win, three draws and six losses 10 games into the campaign.
