Kpando Heart of Lions Football Club’s return to the BetPawa Premier League is yet to yield a win five games into the 2023-2024 season.

Lions drew 2-2 with Bibiani Gold Stars away from home after battling from a 0-2 deficit to tie the contest. Alex Aso and Appiah McCarthy put Bibiani up before Mustapha Yakubu and Ebenezer Abban scored for Lions.

Speaking in the post game interview, Lions coach Fatawu Salifu wished his team got its maiden win of the season but viewed his team’s goal scoring prowess in the game as a sign the win is coming.

“I must say I’m satisfied at least it’s better than coming to lose so of course I’m very satisfied with the performance of my boys.”

Lions Coach Fatawu Salifu

“We’re still looking for our win… the scoring (of goals) is sometimes a challenge we have but we utilized at least two of our chances that gave us at least a point. Scoring today tells me that it is coming and I’m sure we are winning matches to come.“
