Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach Martin Koopman says his team is in need of “experience and a goal” to get over the problem of registering wins.
He said this in the post game interview after Hearts drew goalless with Samartex at the Accra Sports Stadium. This is the second game in a row the Phobians have failed to score a goal after drawing goalless with Dreams FC.
After speaking extensively on the absence of a goal scorer in his team in previous interviews, Koopman indirectly pointed to bad luck as the reason behind his team’s poor showing in front of goal and not the effort of his lads or him.
“We will do everything to win games. I think I am not the problem and also not the players; they give everything but we need experience and we need actually a goal and then we step over the problem.”
“It’s a national issue.Even the Black Stars don’t have wingers and strikers to score goals.”
Hearts has picked up five points from five games in the 2023-2024 BetPawa Premier League.
