Southampton Football Club manager Russell Martin was in full praise of his team’s performance including Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana after The Saints grabbed a 2-1 win over Hull City in the English Championship.
A Ryan Fraser goal in added on time gave Southampton all three points and extends the team’s unbeaten run to four.
Speaking in the post game presser, Martin highlighted top individual performers in the win including winger Sulemana.
“I feel like we’re building and we’re growing something, we just need to keep doing it. The second goal is a very nice goal. The first one is good too, Kamaldeen with some individual brilliance and then Kyle [Walker-Peters] with some of the same.”
Sulemana is yet to score for Southampton this season but has registered two assists in seven games after recovering from an injury that had him miss out on games early in the campaign.
The 21 year old is aiming to make the Ghana Black Stars team that competes at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire after failing to get called up for recent national assignments.
Southampton is scheduled to play Preston on Wednesday, October 25.
