Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has branded Ghana’s 4-0 loss to the United States of America as a reality check.
Ghana lost heavily to the Americans in an international friendly game on Wednesday, October 18 at the Geodis Park in Nashville. Ghana lost 0-2 to Mexico in the lead up to the American tie.
Speaking in the post game presser in the presence of Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton, the Crystal Palace attacker was blunt in his analysis of the game.
“I feel like we just need a bit more time because it’s a new group, a lot of new players and most of the players are really inexperienced so it’s not easy because we know we don’t have time and this type of games is a reality check and now we know our level.”
“We are pushing hard and we are trying our best to have better performances as a team and with time it will come.”
Ayew is in line to play in Palace’s EPL game against Newcastle United on Saturday, October 21 at 14:00 GMT.
