Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach Martin Koopman has again bemoaned his team’s ineffectiveness in converting goal scoring chances.
He said this in a post-game interview after Hearts drew goalless with Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in Week 4 of the 2023-2024 Betpawa Premier League season.
Dutch coach, Koopman, raised concern about the dearth of goals in his side after Hearts’ 1-0 win over Nsoatreman FC in a previous league encounter. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
He went on to call for a striker to be signed following the loan move of striker Issah Kuka to North Macedonia side Shkupi SH and after the frustrating draw, Koopman doubled down on his request.
“Defending we are very strong and in finishing we miss something and that’s the reason it (this game) is a draw. We have no striker I tell you again we have no striker. Issah (Kuka) is going abroad and we have no striker back so we missed a striker.”
Hearts of Oak has four points in four league games this season and ranks 15th in the 18 team league standings. The Phobians finished 12th last season.
