Agreement with NSS to bring synergy between academics and practical experience- Sports Minister

Honourable Ussif and other dignitaries were present for the signing of the agreement.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has highlighted the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Service Secretariat (NSS).

He said this in his speech delivered at the event to mark the agreement between the Sports Ministry and NSS that aims to facilitate the deployment of National Service personnel to various sectors” within sports federations. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Doubling down on the objective of the agreement signed with the NSS’ top brass including Executive Director Osei Assibey Antwi and NSS Deputy Director Gifty Oware-Mensah, Honourable Ussif stated,

“The aim is to make sure that we bring synergy between academic qualification and knowledge acquired to practical experience to enhance positioning, promotion and branding of our clubs and federations enabling them compete on the global stage.”

Representatives of several sports federations were present at the event including Ghana Armwrestling Federation President Charles Osei Assibey.

Ben Nunoo-Mensah, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee was also present at the event that had Honourable say the Youth Resource Centre in Koforidua is set to be commissioned on December 19.
