Nsoatreman Football Club head coach, Maxwell Konadu, has rued his team’s bad luck after seeing his side deliver a very good performance but still end up on the losing side.
He said this after Nsoatreman lost 1-0 to Medeama Sporting Club in an outstanding BetPawa Premier League game in Tarkwa.
Striker Jonathan Sowah scored the game’s only goal from the penalty spot in the 54th minute to give Medeama the win and move the Mauve and Yellow to third place in the 18 team league standings with Nsoatreman in second place with both teams on 16 points.
Sowah’s goal came on the day he was named as a member of the Black Stars team to play against Madagascar and Comoros in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on November 17 and November 21.
Speaking at a post game press conference, Konadu said, “Possession-wise we were leading the home side. We did that to frustrate them and push them to go direct which they did and we were picking all the second balls.”
“So it was unfortunate they had a penalty and utilized it.”
