Vice Chairperson of the Women’s Premier League Committee, Rosalind Amoh, says Ampem Darkoa’s exploits at the just-ended CAF Women’s Champions League will spice up the league and make it more competitive this season.

She believes the teams in the Women’s Premier League will hunt Ampem Darkoa down this season with the objective of finishing at the top of the zone to compete in the Champions League next season.

Rosalind Amoh further commended Joe Nana Adarkwa’s side after finishing fourth at their maiden appearance and urged them to build on the performance in the subsequent competitions this season.

She spoke on CITI TV’s pidgin sports show, Football Made in Ghana on Wednesday with Host Nathan Quao on Wednesday, 22, 2023

I think sey dem do well, dem bi first timers. Somebody go talk sey the first time a team from Ghana [Hasaacas Ladies] go dem reach the final, but make you no forget sey every year be different.

Last year, the defending Champions [AS FAR], dem no win anything, but then, dem come back come win again.

And for Ampem Darkoa to beat AS FAR back to back, i no sure sey the Moroccans go allow, because right now dem dey see dema body top of African women’s football, so there was no way Ampem go beat them.

So in all, i think sey dem do well, first time.

Most of the players no play for the competition before, so ebi good thing give we [Women’s football]

The only thing i dey fear be say, dem go suffer the Hasaacas Ladies fate some, i mean the club go come poach dema players some, then they will have to rebuild.

Because this season i dey see say clubs go be ready to frustrate them[Ampem Darkoa] so they don’t get the final ticket to the Champions League.

I sure sey the league go be very very competitive this season.

ROSELYN AMOH, VICE CHAIRPERSON, WPL COMMITTEE

FULL TIME.!!!

We miss out of the third place medal, lesson learnt, experience gathered.

Ampem Darkoa is grateful for this platform and all the support from Ghanaians🇬🇭. #Nanamma will be back again🙌🏾.
