Management of CITI TV has signed a memorandum of Understanding with Ghana Athletics to promote and co-organize the National Invitational Students Athletics Championship (NISAC).

The initiative is scheduled to be held in Accra with athletes representing 50 senior high schools in Ghana expected to battle in a three day competition similar to the highly acclaimed Jamaican and American models.

CITI TV CEO Samuel Attah-Mensah signed the agreement with Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini in the company of CITI TV General Manager Bernard Avle and CITI TV Business Manager Omane Mensah-Bonsu.

Ghana Athletics CEO Philippina Frimpong and Chairman of Fundraising and Sponsorship Andrew Agbo Kitcher were present at the signing.

In his address, CITI TV CEO Samuel Attah-Mensah said, “Based on a series of conversations we’ve had with the ultimate aim of helping promote athletics in our dear country Ghana, we are collaborating with Ghana Athletics to stage this athletics event.”

On his part, Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini said, “It is a very good thing that we have been looking forward to and this will open up the resource that we normally do not get from the schools. For us, it is not only a year program; it is over four years. Together with CITI TV, we will make Ghana Athletics where its supposes to be; a number one federation in Ghana.”
