Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton says he is happy that Kudus Mohammed is playing for West Ham United because of West Ham manager David Moyes’ “structure”.
He said this in a chat with Talk Sport as Ghana gears towards competing at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire. Ghana is in Group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
Kudus joined West Ham this past offseason from Ajax Amsterdam and has settled well scoring nine goals in all competitions including bagging a brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Former West Ham player, Hughton, pinned his reason on West Ham manager David Moyes’ structure stating, “I must admit I was delighted when he (Kudus) went there because what I knew would happen with him particularly with the way that David sets up his teams, I knew he would him put him in a structure.
“Looking at him this moment, playing on the right hand side, I think David has adapted his (Kudus) role where he has given him as much freedom as he could but still is producing.”
Kudus was named in the 55 man provisional Black Stars squad.
