Ghana Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has taken a positive outlook on AFC Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.
He pointed this out in an interview Bournemouth’s official channel after scoring in the exciting match that gives The Cherries 10 points out of a 15 maximum points to pick up in the first season under Andoni Iraola after an extensive winless start to the campaign.
Semenyo scored the game’s first goal in the 10th minute with a neat finish off a nice pick out by Ryan Christie. The goal is Semenyo’s third in the league this season.
The goal marked Semenyo’s second game in a row with a goal contribution in the English Premier League after bagging an assist in Bournemouth’s 3-1 win against Sheffield United in the immediate past game.
“We are training hard together as a team and I feel like the manager’s tactics is coming together no so we are slowly building…and hopefully get some more wins. Unlucky with the draw today but it’s a point, it’s better than nothing.”
Bournemouth plays Aston Villa next in the league on Wednesday, December 6 at 19:30 GMT; Semenyo is expected to be in action against fellow Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace.
