Ghanaian basketball player Jeremiah Nyarko has opened up on his decision to commit to Arizona State University over other athletic scholarships from US colleges.
The Power Forward said he felt a connection with the school after his visit and added that Sun Devils’ head coach, Bobby Hurley, also played a role in his decision to sign for ASU from Western Texas College.
“I had a lot of schools recruiting me and ASU was the school I really kind of felt in connection with. Bobby Hurley is one for the biggest Division I coaches too so I liked how they talked to me they care about me.”
“On the visit, how they treated me and the college just really loved me. They really took good care of me so I just felt…so I just chose to go there.”
Nyarko is set to compete for ASU later in 2024 after he leaves the Juniour College division; he joined Western Texas after a frustrating season at University of San Diego.
