Black Stars and Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana won’t compete in the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire for Ghana according to Southampton manager Russell Martin.

He said this in a pre game presser as The Saints prepare to play Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship.

Martin’s comments come at a time Sulemana has been named in the Black Stars 55 man provisional list for the 2023 AFCON.

Sulemana is injured and Martin confirmed the speedy winger will be out for a long time and he doubled down on this saying,

“Kamaldeen won’t be in the squad. I’m sure I’ll chat to Chris-Hughton- about where he is in fitness. He is going to be nowhere close near ready for that. He won’t go.”

“Kamaldeen will be fit towards the end of January or the start of February. This could change. I don’t know.”
