Black Stars defender Mohammed Salisu says the team needs to improve in multiple areas especially in the area of dealing with fatigue.

He said this after Ghana conceded late for the second game in a row at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire to miss out on a win.

Ghana threw away the game’s lead twice against Egypt to draw 2-2 in its second game at the AFCON with both goals conceded off defensive errors.

The Black Stars lost 1-2 to Cape Verde in its opening game with Cape Verde’s winner coming off a mix up in Ghana’s backline.

Addressing the media after the disappointing draw, the AS Monaco player said the team needs to get better in multiple areas before taking on Mozambique in a must win game for the Stars.

“I think we need to improve everything especially the second half. Our second half, I think we need to improve when the fatigue comes, I think we need to improve with that. I think we need to give a bit more energy I think we need this. It’s very important.”
