Ghana’s quest to qualify to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games has ended after the Black Queens elimination from the qualifiers.

This comes in the wake of Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team’s 3-3 draw with Zambia in the Southern African nation.

The result gave Zambia a 4-3 win on aggregate after the latter registered a 1-0 win over Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg.

A late goal from star player Barbra Banda was the difference maker as Ghana completed the game with 10 players due to the dismissal of Jennifer Cudjoe in the 95th minute.

Banda scored from the ensuing free kick to seal Zambia’s progression to the next round of the qualification process.

The late goal was Banda’s second in the game with Mupopo Kabange’s goal sandwiching the pair from the Zambian captain.

Ghana got goals from Gifty Assifuah, Doris Boaduwaa and Bugri Azumah in the 21st, 55th and 65th minute respectively.
