Leicester City Football Club manager Enzo Maresca is glad that after multiple shot attempts, Ghanaian winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has managed to get a goal from long range.
He said this when reacting to Issahaku’s beautiful strike that gave Leicester a 1-0 win over AFC Bournemouth away from home.
The tie was a fifth round matchup and the win qualifies The Foxes to the quarterfinal to play against a yet to be determined team.
In a post game interview, former Manchester City assistant coach, Maresca was happy about Issahaku scoring from distance after missing several shot attempts.
“He probably shoots 25 times (from that position) during his time at Leicester and finally he scored that one tonight. I remember many other shots in the stands from him so if we are to wait another 25 shots, it’s a bit long!”
The goal is Issahaku’s first in this season’s FA Cup and the on loan Sporting Lisbon player captured the Man of the Match Award.
