The National Sports Authority (NSA) has hit back at critics of the authority by stating its commitment in delivering sports development at grass root level and preparing stadia for competitions.

This was communicated via an official statement released by the authority in response to intense public outcry against the activities of the body.

NSA Director-General Professor Peter Twumasi sat before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and was questioned on several reported infractions in the administration of its duties.

However, the PAC members were visibly unsatisfied with the alleged actions of the NSA Director General towards the Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif and financial dealings. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The Public Accounts Committee directed the arrest of the NSA Northern Region Director for failing to lodge 160,000 Ghana cedis in the designated Consolidated Trust Fund account of the authority. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

In the release signed by the body’s Public Relations Department head, the NSA reiterated its strong drive to meet all its obligations despite the financial challenges it deals with.
