A convener of the “SaveGhanaFootball Demonstration”, Saddick Adams has called on the government of Ghana to disband the committee tasked to search for a new Black Stars head coach.

He said this when delivering his speech at the protest that attracted thousands of football enthusiasts who registered their frustration over the poor state of Ghana football.

Listing the items conveners want changed in the administration of football in the country particularly with the Black Stars, Adams pointed to the disbandment of the five man committee led by Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President Mark Addo that has been tasked to name a head coach to replace Chris Hughton. “Government, we want to insist that the committee looking for the next Black Stars coach, they should disband it now. The chairman of the committee is the man who took $100,000, is the man who went to bring Milovan Rajevac, is the same man who led us to the embarrassment in Ivory Coast”

“By the close of the week, the committee looking for the Black Stars coach, disband. Put in place an interim technical team.”

Under Rajevac, the Black Stars failed to qualify from the group stage of the 2021 AFCON and the team suffered the same fate at the 2023 AFCON under Hughton.
