Leicester City defender Ricardo Pereira has lauded Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s contribution in Leicester City’s latest win in the Sky Bet Championship.
This comes on the back of Issahaku registering an assist in The Foxes 2-1 against Watford away from home to maintain its nine point lead atop the standings.
Issahaku assisted Pereira’s goal in the 55th minute to give Leicester City a 2-0 lead before Emmanuel Denis scored a consolation goal.
Speaking to Leicester’s official media channel, the veteran Portuguese full back praised Issahaku’s vision to pick him out.
“Abdul Fatawu did a great job finding me in the box and it was great especially for our fans. It was really nice.”
The assist is Issahaku’s ninth of the season in 25 league appearances; the 19 year also has two goals as he plays out his loan deal from Sporting Lisbon.
Issahaku missed three games due to suspension after getting dismissed for a wild tackle in Leicester’s loss to Coventry City.
He missed the Black Stars 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote D’Ivoire.
