Cote D’Ivoire has successfully hosted and won the 2023 AFCON via a 2-1 win over Nigeria in the final game to clinch its third AFCON title.

Nigeria, South Africa and DR Congo finished second, third and fourth respectively in the tournament; South Africa beat Congo on penalties to register its best finish at the competition since 2000.
