Ayew scored the game’s opening goal in the 66th minute with a well-placed strike into the right side of the post off an assist from Jean-Philippe Mateta.
However, Palace conceded in the 84th minute to miss out on all three points as The Eagles continue to battle against dropping into the relegation zone.
In his post-game analysis on the game, legendary Liverpool striker Michael Owen praised the quality of Ayew’s strike with former Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady chiming i.
“Ayew gets the ball out of his feet and it’s just a wonderful strike from 20 yeards out and it’s a lovely strike. There’s nothing much the keeper can do about that. The ball just drops to Ayew and it’s a great strike.”

Jordan Ayew has three goals and five assists in 23 English Premier League games this season.
