Football legend Gary Neville has praised Mohammed Kudus’ role in Jarrod Bowen’s hat-trick outing in a 4-2 West Ham win over Brentford in the English Premier League.
Kudus assisted Bowen’s third goal by delivering a cross from the right side on to the head of an unmarked Jarrod Bowen to put West Ham up 3-1 in the second half.
In his post game analysis delivered on Sky Sports, the former Manchester United fullback highlighted how the Ghanaian midfielder gave Brentford fullback Sergio Reguilon problems in the game.
“There was a part of that goal that I really loved. Being a full-back myself, I used to hate it when the wide player would get the ball and run at you with real aggression, and Kudus did that. He’s been quite erratic at times tonight in his play, Bowen gets a hat-trick, but it’s laid on a plate for him.”
“Reguilon, Kudus just goes and puts him inside the box, he scoops it up beautifully into a great area and I love that.”
Jarrod Bowen was a bit disappointed Kudus couldn’t get a goal in the win to cap his fine performance at the London Stadium. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Kudus’s assist against Brentford was his third in his debut season for West Ham after joining the club from Ajax Amsterdam.
