Head coach of FC Samartex 1996, Nurudeen Amadu, isn’t getting carried away by his team’s impressive form en route to occupying the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings.

He said this in a post game interview after Samartex’s 2-1 win over Aduana Stars in Dormaa to take a five point lead in the standings with Aduana staying put in second place.

Samartex have accumulated 35 points from winning 11 games while drawing two and losing five games in 18 outings in the 2023-2024 league season.

The Samreboi based team is in its second season competing in Ghana’s top flight division but even in the face of its brilliant display thus far, coach Amadu isn’t carried away.

“I am feeling good but there is much work to be done. We still have a long way to go so there is no room for complacency so we need to work had and every match is very very crucial as far as where we have gotten to is concerned.”
