Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has described Ghanaian-English winger Nathan Omari Forson’s performance as “reasonable”.
Forson made his debut start with Manchester United at the senior level in The Red Devils’ 2-1 loss at home to Fulham in the English Premier League.
The 20 year old started the game against The Cottagers with Man United looking to extend its unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.
However, United lost the game to a late Alex Iwobi goal with Forson on the bench after getting substituted in the 53rd minute for Christian Eriksen.
Speaking on the performance of the 19 year old (turns 20 on July 20), Ten Hag tagged the left footed Forson’s performance as a reasonable one.
“I think it was reasonable. He had some good actions. He was reliable in defending and had some good actions in possession. I saw, for his first time, he did well” and added that Omari “deserves to play”.
Omari was born in London to Ghanaian parents and is eligible to play for Ghana or England at the senior level just like teammate Kobbie Mainoo.
He has featured for England at the Under 17, Under 19 and Under 20 levels.
