Unpaid bonuses for Black Queens isn’t a GFA PROBLEM- Rosalind Amoh

Chairperson of the Women’s FA Cup Committee Rosalind Amoh says unpaid bonuses to the Black Queens is a “Ministry of Youth and Sports problem” and not a “GFA problem”.

She said this in an interview on Citi TV’s Football Made in Ghana in the lead up to Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team’s 2024 Olympic Qualifier against Zambia.

The upcoming qualifier comes off on Friday, February 23 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first of two legs against the southern Africa nation.

After expressing her displeasure over the unpaid bonuses to the ladies who were promised financial benefits for qualifying to the 2024 Women’s AFCON, Rosalind Amoh added that, (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“This one (problem of unpaid bonuses) isn’t a GFA (Ghana Football Association) problem, it’s a Ministry problem so the Ministry needs to figure it out to motivate the players.”

Ghana last came this close to secure qualification to the Olympic Games in the women’s category in 2004 when the Black Queens lost on penalties to Nigeria at the Accra Stadium.
