We fought at every moment on the pitch- Mo Salisu reflects on Monaco win over Lens

Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu has pinned AS Monaco’s latest win in the French Ligue 1 on the team “fighting at every moment on the pitch”.

He said this in a post game interview with Monaco’s official media after the Principality side secured a hard fought 3-2 win over RC Lens away from home.

Salisu played the entire duration of the game as an injury time goal from Takumi Minamino secured the win for Monaco.

After the game, Salisu reflected on the win saying, “It was not an easy match. Despite everything, we managed to win these three points by fighting at every moment on the pitch. It’s not so easy to come and score three goals here at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.”

“In the end we won an important victory, so it’s great for the team!” he added as he continues to star for Monaco after a disappointing run with the Black Stars at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

Salisu and Monaco take on league leaders PSG on Friday, March 1 at 20:00 GMT. Salisu’s Black Stars teammate Abdul Salis Samed was an unused substitute for Lens in the game.
